Weekend Apps Change

So, after days of trying to fix my USB problem, I decided to reformat my Windows XP partition when the same problem plagued my other new USB. The new USB was given another life. Saved. And cheers to the old for it will probably end up in the dusty corners of the already dusty and useless side of the room. Bringing the "write-protect" problem along.

Because Globe and Smart Bro was decent enough to turn me off from subscribing to their services because I live in a boardinghouse, I made a trip to the fastest cheapest internet cafe' in town(infront of Hotel Sogo Cebu) to download new stuff for my Windows Vista older brother.

...with Adobe Photoshop, I'm on!

Apache on your Flash Drive

A professional conversation between two not-so-acquainted guys of the webdesigning & PHP programming world.

Them meticulous looking Lokis of however-big position they occupy in their company:
So you PHP? So you RDBMS? Show me your stuff! Here, sit here.

You:
Can I install...

TMLLOH-BPTOITC:
No. No. You can't install something.

U:
But...uhm

TMLLOH-BPTOITC:
Tomorrow, I wanna see that tomorrow. Online. Have it online.

You don't want to be the you in this conversation, right? Well, then, bring out your dusty USB flash drive and install the portable XAMPP to it.

Apache server and MYSQL right away!

Make sure to change the Apache default port 80 to something not equal to 80, I use 69, to avoid conflict because some system may already have the same service running on that port. Config file is named httpd.conf on the ...\xampplite\apache\conf folder. Find this line "Listen 80" and change it to "Listen 69" if you want to run on the same Highway 69 like me. You have to restart the services. Install all your sample works in htdocs and I figure you already know what to do after that because I assume you have already used some Apps like XAMPP on your own system.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.zip

I'm not really a fan of this HP book, or the other books, neither a loser for the movies.

I'd rather be the proudest geek for "The Onion Field" or "2010: The Year We Make Contact," both book and movie. Because, someday, it'd be cooler to mention the unknowns than the what-have-beens in the mainstream. But what's "cool" is not the real reason why I dislike HP. It's a personal reason that I share with many others who prefered the "others."

Well, anyway, this whole mojakojombo! is about me having a copy of the book. Thanks to a long lost friend who forwarded it to me. I have it, as part of my collections, in my untouched eBooks folder.

parakatis_at_gmail_dot_com me if you still don't have it.
